Baton Rouge College

We understand that traditional four-year Baton Rouge colleges aren’t for everyone. Yet many adults who are juggling the demands of work and family still want to earn a college diploma or degree. Associate’s Degree Programs:

  • Associate’s Degree in Business Office Management

    Students of the associate’s degree program in Business Office Management will have the opportunity to learn the basic skills of office administration, which helps prepare them to carry out, organize, and direct office support operations in a variety of settings. This Baton Rouge, Louisiana college program helps prepare graduates for entry-level office management jobs by teaching the skills required for today’s fast-paced business environment.(1)

  • Computer and Network Administrator Training

    The curriculum of the Computer and Network Administration associate’s degree program offers specialized Microsoft network training that helps to prepare Baton Rouge, Louisiana college students earn up to five Microsoft certifications. Students have the opportunity to learn how to install, configure, maintain, and support local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), Internet systems, and wireless configurations.

  • Criminal Justice Degree

    Our Criminal Justice associate degree program helps students at our Baton Rouge, Louisiana campus understand law enforcement, the courts, and institutional corrections via coursework that is taught by faculty with real-world experience. Graduates receive training for potential employment in corrections, loss prevention, and security. (1)

College Diploma Programs:

  • Cosmetology Training Program

    Our college diploma program in Cosmetology offers students at the Baton Rouge, Louisiana campus hands-on instruction in all phases of professional imaging, hair design, chemical processes, skin care, nail care, multi-cultural practices, business/computer principles, and product knowledge. The curriculum is designed to prepare graduates for state licensing requirements and future employment as a cosmetology salesperson, cosmetologist, or a salon manager.(1)

  • Medical Assistant Training Program

    The Medical Assisting college diploma program prepares students at the Baton Rouge, Louisiana campus to perform medical assisting duties under the direction of a physician/practitioner, including preparing examination rooms, taking vital signs, assisting in minor surgical procedures, giving injections, assisting in laboratory operations, taking X-rays and administering electrocardiograms. Medical assistants also learn to function in an administrative capacity, performing such tasks as communicating with patients, maintaining patient records, billing, scheduling appointments, ordering supplies and processing insurance claims.

  • Medical Billing Training Program

    Our Medical Billing and Coding college diploma program trains students at the Baton Rouge, Louisiana campus on many aspects of completing and processing medical and insurance documents and of maintaining medical records in healthcare administrative environments. Program graduates should be prepared in as few as nine months to find entry-level positions in hospitals, private physician offices, rehabilitation centers, surgery centers and other health care and medical facilities.(1)

  • Pharmacy Technician Training Program

    Students of the Pharmacy Technician college diploma program receive training in a variety of tasks, including assisting the pharmacist in filling prescriptions, compounding medications and assisting patients. Completing their coursework and hands-on training under the guidance of experienced pharmacy technicians to help prepare our Baton Rouge, Louisiana campus graduates to work in a pharmacy setting under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.(1)

Remington College is actively involved in the East Baton Rouge Parish community, through our participation in the local Feed a Family food drive, the back-to-school haircuts we provide at no charge to families as part of our “Cuts for Kids” program, and our local blood drives .
